European Union
The EU has announced it will introduce customs duty per item on low value (below €150) e-commerce parcels sent from outside the EU, from 1 July 2026. For parcels valued under EUR150: VAT will apply to the parcel, along with a flat-rate customs duty fee of EUR3 per item. The European Union customs duty is payable by the recipient on delivery.
More information is available on the Australia Post Changes to global customs and imports: duties, taxes and fees explained page.
Canada , Norway and the United Kingdom
From 1 July 2026 special calculation, collection and remittance of duties, taxes and fees (“landed costs”) for shipments to Canada, Norway and the United Kingdom is required. All items, regardless of value, being sent to the EU, Canada, Norway or the UK will now require duties, taxes and fees. The person receiving the goods pays the final import duties, taxes and fees before clearance by the destination's local customs authority.
New Zealand
In April 2026, the New Zealand Government will introduce new charges that affect both postal and commercial goods entering New Zealand. For further information, please refer to the Australia Post International Post Guide - New Zealand or New Zealand Customs Service: Goods Levies - 2026.
United States of America
Shipping to the United States has been suspended due to the new US tariff rules for postal shipments - effective 29 August 2025. See the Australia Post website full details and current status: Important notice: New US tariff rules for postal shipments – Effective 29 August 2025.
USA Tariffs are payable in advance before shipping. This comprises a tariff charge ( the amount per item varies based on the country of origin of the item) + handling fee + lodgement fee. We are working towards a solution but it will not be easy.
Here is an example:
The brake pedal pivot bolt assy (part number 3438) is $AUD27.27.
This attracts a 10% IEEPA tariff ($2.73) + 50% US Section 232 Tariffs - Additional duties on steel, aluminum and copper ($13.64). So the tariff subtotal is now an additional $16.37 PLUS the Zonos (broker) charge of 10% ($1.64) PLUS the fixed processing fee ($1.69). The additional cost of sending the one Australian Made item is now $AUD19.70 on top of the original cost, plus postage.
This must be calculated for every item in an order and took 20 minutes to manually enter the details for the brake pivot bolt.
